Today: Daniel Ash’s Firsts! This time, we examine what inspired Daniel Ash from Love and Rockets. Head down to Malverde on August 4th and catch the legend’s performance and DJ set at the release party for New Tales To Tell: A Tribute to Love and Rockets.
- 1st favorite song: “Double Barrel” by Dave & Ansell Collins
- 1st favorite musician or band: The Dave Clark Five. I would stick my face 3 inches from the TV screen with volume up turned up to full at ten!
- 1st vinyl purchased: Double Barrel - Dave & Ansell Collins.
- 1st album recorded on a cassette tape: Live concert of David Bowie
- 1st concert attended: It was Roxy Music w/ Brian Eno @ The Rainbow in London 1972.
- 1st CD purchased: The Jesus & Mary Chain.
- 1st album downloaded: Ian Dury & the Blockheads!
- 1st personal band: Mi5., local cover band in the Midlands, UK. They needed a gimmick and asked me up on stage and to wear a gas mask?!
