- Hope everyone is taking full advantage of Free Week’s boundless magic! Tonight, Austin Music Weekly and I invite you to Red 7 for a mouth-watering bill featuring some of our local favorites. Come on down and check out live sets by Hard Proof Afrobeat, Hundred Visions, Smoke and Feathers, Zlam Dunk, East Cameron Folkcore, and Kay Leotard, all for free! Music starts at 8:45 p.m.
- On January 17th, I am excited to present three promising Austin bands inside at The Mohawk. Over the last year or so, NY transplant Eric Brendo (ex-Downtown) has recruited some talented musicians, including former English Teeth bassist Todd Pruner to fine tune The Asteroid Shop’s mesmerizing melodies to perfection. Enjoy the fruits of their labor at 11 p.m.; Boy + Kite and Anam Milá get things started nice ‘n’ early this Tuesday evening.
