"Broken Spindles is a side project of The
Faint’s Joel Petersen, though the group’s music doesn’t much resemble
his main project’s spastic update of new wave. Instead, he takes on
mostly instrumental tracks inspired by IDM and the more sophisticated
end of industrial, but filled in by the sound of glockenspiel,
vibraphone, and hammer dulcimer. Petersen is on tour behind the
extremely fresh Kiss/Kick, which is due for release the day after this show."
