Firsts: Sh*te that happened before other sh*te happened.
Today: Ashley Cass’ Firsts! This time, we examine what inspired Ashley Cass, Social Media & Event Coordinator at Birds Barbershop. The local entity has been a staunch supporter of the FTMOA residency series at The Mohawk this month, generously providing a keg of Lone Star Beer at the kickoff show on March 3rd, and will be doing so again tonight at the second installment of the series. Check out FTMOA’s interview with Birds’ owner Michael Portman via FTMOA #97 and come on down to the 'hawk this evening to enjoy some delicious pizza courtesy of Home Slice, Dániel Perlaky’s (City on Fire) exceptional poster art, and of course, complimentary Lone Star. She Sir headline once again at 9 p.m.; White Dress kick things off at 7 p.m. and The Authors perform at 8 p.m. See you there!

For those in search of a place to get a new do, we've got just the place for you! Birds now has two new locations that have just opened up...one at 1107 E. 6th Street and one at 1902 S. Congress.
Right now they are doing a special where you can get a free haircut and shampoo if you bike to Birds meaning this is the perfect opportunity to go check them out if you've never been. Plus they serve Lone Star there, so what are you waiting for?
